I loved my work family unit at LifeSouth. I take made lasting friendships over my years of employment. This company truly does brand a deviation in our local community.
Cons
"One of the drawbacks of working for a nonprofit is that they often pay less than for-turn a profit companies, even for positions with the same job title" Don't look the best benefits or pay range. What they offer is competitive with other Non Profits.

Pros
I had a chore that was the only pro. Also, my nearly two years at Lifesouth allowed me to land a much better job at a non-profit infirmary with meliorate pay and benefits off the bat.
Cons
Pay is awful. I did everything I could to maximize my pay (obtaining a CDL, Apheresis tech, etc) an it was yet sub standard. I piece of work in Atlanta for near ii years and it drained my soul. I never had schedules mail more that 4-5 days earlier they started and usually information technology was 2 days before. Every bit a consequence you have null work/life balance. You are forced to "bank" 40 hours of PTO before you can utilize any and you can't touch that xl hour even then. The only way to get that twoscore hours is to stay with the visitor for 4 years and give two week observe before leaving. Zero sick go out. Forced to piece of work overtime every week. Very rarely allowed to accept a 30 mins lunch interruption you lot are promised in the interview. Forced to exist bachelor to work when on lunch.

Former Employee, more than 1 twelvemonth
Pros
The work is cool. PTO is good too.
Cons
If yous aren't in the inner club you lot're ostracized for everything. You have a lab supervisor covered in tattoos and piercings with an OF account and nudes plastered on IG, but you're the ane judged from management for wearing jeans. & non post-obit clothes lawmaking. They don't support spreading knowledge to newer people and volition talk to you like you lot're stupid if y'all're non "on their level". Direction is mode as well open with their personal, political and religious feelings and if you're not like them, they immediately label you as stupid. Hardcore favoritism and Nepotism. At that place are a meg other labs. Become there instead.
